I’m writing this article to announce that TokenSets will be shutting down social trading this month to focus on other goals for their protocol. That means all of my sets will begin winding down this month as well. I will lay out some of those specifics below as well as reflect on the past year with tokens sets.
I began trading in February of 2020 as a premiere (i.e. launch day) trader. Through this opportunity I was able to meet a lot of great people as well as discover other opportunities. …
I recently made some changes to my sets fee structure which completely phased out performance fees and introduced a small buy fee. I am adding a final piece to the puzzle to form a coherent, standardized, and performance-based structure to my fees. This will come in the form of fee levels where my fees will start off at 0% and will not increase until my sets start generating positive performance.
Below is a table of my fee structure. The first and most important thing to point out is that my streaming fees will be set to 0% for any set…
This article will explain the overarching risk objectives of my Candlestick Price Action sets, currently which are: LINK/ETH, ETH/cUSDC, and ETH/BTC. For details on the trading method that I use you can read that here. In the article whenever I refer to “benchmark” I am referring to ETH which is what all of my Candlestick PA sets are benchmarked against.
The primary risk objectives of my price action sets are to take trades that are high conviction and that offer asymmetric risk/reward opportunities. High conviction trades are those trades that I feel offer the highest chance of success (I deem…
This article is to provide some details of fee changes I plan on implementing within the next week on my candlestick price action sets. I have noticed a trend where holders will buy sets when a new trade is initiated and sell the sets once the trade is closed. Some set holders are using this as a way to pick up gains from a trade but then avoid streaming fees, effectively gaming the fee system. I expect this type of thing to only increase over time.
My solution to this will be to implement a small entry fee (0.25%) that…
For those who are current/previous holders of my LINKETH PA set, I have been discussing/working with TokenSets and we may have a market maker who will agree to backstop the LINKETH auctions and provide liquidity. To make this work I will have to communicate with TokenSets actively on potential trade entries/exits before they occur so that the market maker(s) can prepare liquidity and properly hedge in preparation for my set rebalancing.
There are certainly some challenges with this as my trading is quite discretionary so I can’t just say I will enter when ‘x’ and ‘y’ happen, but I can…
I am writing this article to announce the unfortunate news that I will be pausing trading on my LINKETH PA set and to also explain why.
After having now traded my LINKETH PA set for a few months I have determined that the current issues with high slippage and unpredictable slippage with LINK makes my trading method nonviable on the TokenSets platform. Nobody is at fault here. This is simply the nature of these emerging markets at this time in combination with my style of trading. TokenSets is working diligently to continue to improve trade execution, routing and liquidity.
I…
With the introduction of new fee types into TokenSets social sets it introduced a number of new cost dynamics for buyers. From those new dynamics comes a number of questions: What fees types benefit me (the buyer) the most? What fee percentage is the most appropriate? Is there any difference between the fee types or will they all ultimately end up costing me about the same? And many more questions…
These types of questions are right up my alley as I have spent my entire trading career teaching other traders how to perform various cost/benefit analysis. Fees that buyers pay…
I am planning on launching a new set focused on candlestick analysis (see that announcement here). I began my trading journey by using candlestick analysis and have have continued to trade this way.
How long have I been trading using candlesticks? I began trading using candlestick analysis in 2013. I found this method of analyzing price charts most natural to me. I have traded almost the exact same way over the years. I trade “naked” candlestick charts which means that I do not use any indicators on my charts. The only thing I add to my charts are horizontal and…
I am planning on launching a new set focused on candlestick analysis (see that announcement here). This set run the ETH Moonshot X algorithm and include my own discretionary input using candlestick analysis.
The way this new set works is simple, it will be based on the same ETH Moonshot X algorithm but will allow me to override the balancing of the set if my discretionary analysis is in disagreement with it. …
Below is a list of all of the changes that are coming. Some of these changes are happening due to TokenSets improving its smart contracts and the others are changes specifically related to my sets.
Also, I want to say thank you to everyone who participated in the Twitter polls and gave feedback about what sets you would like to see in the future. Many of these changes that I will be making are in direct response to the feedback I have receive from the Moonshot and general TokenSets community.
